Refugee

Nowadays, humans are facing severe problems. one of the most difficult and complex is (refugees).
This expression is defined as " a person who flee to a foreign country or power to escape danger or persecution".
This problem has been effecting the humankind for ages, especially after the second world war, thus the office of the United Nation High Commission for Refugee (UNHCK) was establish in 1950.
Although there have been some other human rights organizations which work with UNHCK to protect and help refugees, the number of refugees has risen to over 41.9 millions by 2008.Therefore, there are a lot of them who can get no help. However, the exact number of refugees can be even higher than what we think, for some countries don't register all the refugees who cross their borders.
Most of the refugees leave their countries due to conflicts in there. For instance, the American war in Iraq left more than 16% of the Iraqi population uprooted. Also, the war in Gaza added thousands of Palestinian refugees inside Gaza to other 7 millions Palestinian who have sought refuge in different countries.
Other people have fled from their houses because of natural disasters damaged their properties, like Tsunami or volcanoes. In addition, climate change is one of the major reasons which increases the number of refugees since it makes floods, drought, hurricanes,....etc happen more frequently.
To sum up,refugees crises are tough ones,so finding a solution to them is not easy. However it is vital. In my opinion, people's behaviour is the cause of most of them.Thereby I believe that people can find a solution if they have the will to change.

Hi every one.
Great Expectation, the story I'm reading, is divided in three volumes as Charles Dickens first published it. The first volume was about Pip's childhood, when his sister brought him up by hand(literally). The second volume ,which I've started reading yesterday, is about an enormous change in his life when a mysterious person adopted him to be brought up like a gentleman.
that is all for now.
have a nice rest of your weekend.

Should animals be killed for food?

Humans are the top of the food chain. We are fed by animals and plants. There are a huge rang of animals which people eat. In different countries and cultures people eat different animals.
Personally, I think we can eat animals. Firstly, Because they are the main source for the protein we need. Besides scientists are saying that the protein we get from plants is completely different ,and it can't replace the animal protein.
secondly, In many countries farming can't provide enough food for people.such as, people in desert. Whereas there are animals which can live in this climate.Plants that people eat can't.
To sum up, animals have souls and they must be treated well. However God give us the power over them. so, we can use them ,as anything else, in moderation.

Sould men share the housework with women?

This question has been a controversial issue for many years. In the past, The work was divided, men work outside to earn a living. Whereas women stayed home to do the housework and take car of children.
However, it wasn't fair as many people -especially women - believed. Because women worked day and night at home, while men just did their work outside ,and it didn't matter whether they worked for twelve hours or just one. The idea was that the housework is a feminine thing.
As the time passed, and the (equal rights) movement started, there were some changes. It's difficult to say whether the situation has changed toward better development. Although women have the right to work, in many cases they work both outside and inside.
In addition, the time they spend at home with their children has become too short. Therefore, the birth rate has been decreasing year after year especially in the modern countries like the USA and the UK.
Nowadays, there are a lot of women who choose to stay home with their babies until they grow up, and then they go back to work. Also, working women are demanding for longer maternity leave after they give a birth.
In my opinion , the answer of such tough question is complex. because it depend on the situation.
However, I'm a Muslim following the Islamic rules -which make it very clear -: Men and women are completely equal, although they are different.Everyone has a convenient role to play. And to live happily together we most share everything.
When the man is at home he should help with the housework. I don't think that it 's important how much they do (20%, 50%, or even 75%) The most important thing is to understand that men and women are not competing. They complete each other.

Too Late

I sat in the hotel lounge and nervously looked at my watch. It was half past three, and my friend should have arrived at two o'clock.
I'd been trying to call him for an hour ,but he didn't answer. So,I decided to call his wife.Although I knew they were separated and living in different houses, she was his only relative.
While the phone was ringing I was thinking what I should say.But she didn't answer. either.
I got more worried.therefore I decided to go to his house. His car wasn't there and the house seemed empty to me. However, I rang the bell and waited for a while. But there was no answer.
Then I went to his wife's house and rang the bell. To my surprise my friend appeared at the door.He looked miserable.
He said to me between his tears "She passed away ...... She was the only good thing in my life ......Why were we fighting? I don't remember ...........Why we don't appreciate the things we have until we lose them.........." I had no answer.
